You would have to call to see if reservations were needed when you decide to visit, we walked in on beautiful Saturday not too long ago with puppy in tow and seated immediately in the outdoor patio as we had the puppy in tow.
Love corned beef and cabbage, if someone else makes it :)
Trying to call for a reservation for 2 weeks
Very good experience. Menu has different options and everything sounds tasty. I had the buffalo chicken flat bread and was delicious. My wife had a problem with her salad and was changed with no questions and immediately. Prices were also reasonable. Will go back!
Standard tourist seafood fare. too many televisions playing too much news and sports to make it a relaxing visit
I usually come here during the fall when they have my favorite drink, "Satan's Cider". However, whenever I do go, I order their calamari which is always crispy and good, with fried jalapenos, and we also order their burgers which are good as well. We ordered their Snickers martini which had that good sweet and strong balance, which we needed. They also allowed our dog to sit with us, and they give him water when we visit and sit on the patio. When we ran inside for a drink or two, they brought water out to our dog, which was very kind.
David was amazing, great atmosphere and vibes. Even better food! Can't wait to go back, if the weather is nice definitely eat outside! We got the marinated steak tips and crab cake BLT
Nice food friendly staff.
Really good food. Great ambiance. Read into some of the legends of ghosts associated with the building. Located very conveniently in the middle of Salem. Fish and Chips were very good. The clam chowder was what you should expect from a New England town!
Food was great. Service a wee bit slow. But worth the wait!!!
Delicious doesn't even begin to describe my lobster salad on a toasted brioche. Paired with a hazy IPA. Divine.
Good food and service. Great location around nice local shops to explore.
Great place! Friendly staff. Had a great lunch and cocktails here. Everything was fantastic! Excellent location. Would definitely recommend this place and would definitely return again. Interior is very nice with beautiful woodwork and large bar.
Cool spot. Good beer selection. In the heart of the Salem area. Did not have any food unfortunately, just wasn't hungry,so I cannot give any comment. Friendly staff. I would go again to get a full experience.
Their food was great! I just wish they added a bit more sauce to the noodles. Most of the sauce was at the bottom of the plate and because of that, most of the noodles were dry. The mussels are amazing though. You get a lot of them!
Great place for an outdoor drink! My partner and I were in Salem for a day trip and we were drawn to Rockafellas because of its comfortable atmosphere on a warm sunny evening. The only thing that wasn't great was the service. My partner had to seek the manager to get her card back after the server disappeared with it to pay the bill. I doubt this happens often, but it was an inconvenience for us.
Came here for dinner and had an awesome time. The food here is amazing. Although the food is pricey is it worth it because of the quality and quantity. Got the Fisherman's Platter and loved it. Staff is awesome and helpful. It does good busy during weekends and there may be a wait. Not alot of parking there though.
Great food really enjoyed the Portabello Tower.
Delicious food, look forward to coming here for lunch/dinner every year. We've been 5 years in a row and will continue to return. Great atmosphere but us a long wait, which should be expected.
A very spacious restaurant carrying an excellent beer selection and a menu with plenty of variety. We both had the fish tacos with beer battered french fries and cleaned our plates! We loved our server and received great service.
Love this place!! We make sure to stop in every year the second we pull in to salem. Awesome atmosphere and fantastic waitresses. We were even allowed a peek in the basement last year and told the story of the infamous "blue lady" who haunts the place. Just all around amazing.
Dinner was delicious. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was great for what we were celebrating. They easily seated our group of 8 within minutes. They willingly made a drink not on the menu and even fixed it when it wasn't quite right. Prices were midrange for a nice meal. I would definitely go back and recommend trying them out!
My husband and I went here for my birthday! I felt so special and the food was delicious!!! I got the 10oz fillet, and my husband got the ribeye. For sides we got asparagus and mashed potatoes. The appetizer we ordered was 6 oysters, and for dessert we got a slice of chocolate cake!
Good food. Great atmosphere. Kinda pricey through
The food was very good and so were the drinks. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt with our food. The restaurant is also in a historic part of town (although not as old as other parts of Salem) and they tell the history of the building, including an old bank vault door.
Server was sweet. She knew her menu and service was fast. Wish I knew her name Fish taco was good. Fried Haddock. Mac and cheese good. Drinks were light on pour. I'd go back.
Beautiful spot, amazing food.
We loved this restaurant! The decor is very casual and very comfortable. We were visiting Salem and had our eye on this restaurant since we read it was potentially haunted! Our waitress was very kind and gave us a brief history of the building. The cocktails were delicious and spooky themed. As the restaurant was closing, our lovely waitress offered to take us upstairs to see the old church portion of the place which was now converted to an event space. Our experience was amazing and we will definitely be returning here on our next trip to Salem!
Sausage Rustica was excellent as was the Garden Salad. Stephanie was very attentive. Price was reasonable. Excellent atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
Loved it! Food was so good. Like the outside eating area too! Try their burgers they are to die for
Each time I've been to Rockafellas it's gotten better. The first time it was kind of "meh" the second time it was decent and this time it was quite good. The food has gotten better, it's not culinary gold but it's a safe option. I sat at the bar this time and the keeper was attentive and very pleasant without being annoying. He was prompt, gave me extra condiments, and did his job well. The fish and chips hit the spot. Not overly greasy, served hot and fresh, and came with both fries and onion rings which were very good.
The food here was so good! I just added steak tips to one of their salads and it was phenomenal. They had a great craft beer selection, too. We came here a few times and every single time the staff was friendly and attentive.
Wonderful atmosphere...prices were incredible and the food was amazing!..The vault dining experience was very unique..Thank you Chef Michael...Matthew and David for making our stay in Salem special!
awesome food and kind staff!
Tried the Portabella Tower. Wife had the salad with sirloin tips. Amazing! Service was awesome and food was great.
My girlfriend Shy and I stopped here on a whim while visiting Salem. Before walking in we met a nice patron outside who informed us they were having live music and assured it was a nice place. The hostess was so pleasant, the bathroom was small but CLEAN the restaurant was beautiful and festive the food was good and the service was Fantastic! I was very impressed and my girlfriend who is a hard person to impress in the restaurant business was very impressed! We will absolutely be back!!
Came on a Saturday evening around 4p in October. You can put your name on list and keep checking back. 1 person in our group waited on line and put our name on list. Said it was a 1.5 hr wait..ok rest of our party was on walking tour. We got seated about an hour& half later and had 3 tables next to each other (family party of 15) food was delicious and serving size more than enough. Waitstaff excellent. Worth the wait!
Great food. Would definitely revisit if in the area again.
Above and beyond service. Food is absolutely wonderful! Bravo!
Great time awesome wait staff amazing food
Better than we were expecting for a place we just bumped into. Salad was very good (nice touch with the cinnamon toasted walnuts). Portions were a bit too much for one person.
If you are looking for a quick bite in Salem this would be a good place for you to start. The menu has a wide selection of food for anybody in your party and the prices were pretty decent. they have a full bar and the staff are very kind and attentive to your needs we are asked multiple times if our food was good and if our drinks were made right. Would recommend to anybody that's looking for a bite to eat in Salem Ma.
The must go to Restaurant in Salem. Very crowded and quite a long wait. Our entire party of 15 had to be broken up into 3 tables. They were together, so it was all good. Terrific clam chowder. The Caesar salad was a good size. I really liked the Fish and Chips. A few in my party had the Sirloin tips which were marinated and cooked to a juicy tender perfection. Noce sized burgers too. Great fries.
The staff was very nice. We ate outside and it was nice but the table was on a slope and things kept sliding. Staff fixed this quickly when asked. The food was good.
Loved the fish tacos and chips! Great location and great food.
Had a large party for my girlfriend's birthday, service and food was excellent. Wish they didn't charge for a birthday dessert though!
Highly recommend! We had a family celebration over Thanksgiving weekend. They positioned the tables perfectly so all 25 of us sat comfortably and we were able to see and talk with one another. The food was absolutely delicious, with very generous portions. We didn't feel rushed at all! The waitstaff was very attentive to us. I would highly recommend the Margarita...delicious! We even got a tour of the upstairs ballroom...unbelievably beautiful! Perfect for a wedding or large party!
Great restaurant in an old time building, the beef short rib sandwich was awesome! The only thing that brought the meal experience down was the fries they were those crusted kind, clearly hand cut fresh 🍟 world have done that meal Justice.
Great food, great drinks and a really fun staff.
It was mid afternoon and quiet during our visit. We were seated quickly and were doted on by our waiter. The food was delicious and was enjoyed as we watched the people walking by the large windows from our cozy booth. After our meal we were given a small tour and an historical background, which includes a bank and a church. A fun, friendly place to visit.
Service was excellent. Very pleasant under the umbrella.,Our server was very careful serving us We all felt comfortable with these strange days. Our tables were more than 6feet apart so we felt comfortable that way as wellOur food was very good and I would go back again . I highly recommend.
Menu and pub food are below average. Service and cleanliness are why we won't be back again. Asked for window booth on reservation, hostess had us wait to the side while they got it ready. 10 minutes later we were told another server gave it away to a walk in. Drinks had crud in the bottom of the glass, dishes were not clean. Asked for no pickled onions on the burger, it came out with onions. They took it back, just scraped them off, brought it back out ice cold. A nice place run by apathetic millenial hipsters.
Fun! Great Food, Service &Nice Loud Rick and Roll Music😁
